ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS!

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR B.Th ADMISSION 

Students who meet any of the following conditions will be offered admission.

 

  1. Five credits including English Language and Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK) in WAEC/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O/L) at not more than two sittings. Science candidates may be considered without CRK

  2. Two GCE (A/L) papers and three WAEC/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O/L) credit passes including English Language provided that no subject shall be counted at both ordinary and advanced Levels. 

  3. NCE with major in CRK with minimum of Merit plus either three WAEC/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O/L) credit passes or Grade II Teacher’s certificate with minimum of five Merit level passes including English language

  4. Ordinary level candidates should not be above the age of 35 years while graduates candidates should not be above 40 years at the time of candidature. Mature candidates who pass the selection conference examination may be given consideration (For only Methodist candidates)

  5. Students who possess Diploma in Theology of Hassan Odukale Methodist Theological College, Zonkwa or Religious Studies from any other recognized institution may be considered for admission into the B.Th programme provided they pass with a minimum of Lower Credit plus five WAEC/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O/L) credit passes including English Language.

  6. All Methodist candidates MUST, in addition to the above conditions, pass the Conference selection examination and other candidature process stipulated by Methodist Church Nigeria.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR B.A (Th) ADMISSION 

 

4-Year Degree Programme: Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)

1. Five (5) Credit level passes in the SSCE/NECO/GCE (O/L) including English Language, Mathematics and CRK/IRK/BK/ in not more than two sittings.

2. An acceptable score in UTME is required.

3. A pass in two principal subjects at the NCE Level/ A/L plus five subjects at credit level in GCE, SSCE and NECO including English Language and Mathematics.

 

3-Year Degree Programme: Direct Entry (DE)

i)    At least two passes in GCE Advanced Level including Christian Religious Knowledge/Islamic Religious Knowledge with Five (5) Credit level passes in relevant subjects in the SSCE/NECO/GCE (O/L) including English Language and Mathematics.

ii) A Three-Year Diploma in Theology/Religious Studies recognized by the University plus five credits at the SSCE/NECO/GCE (O/L) ‘O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics.
