Short Term Professional Courses

OUR NEW SHORT-TERM PROFESSIONAL COURSES!

Apart from the core Theological Courses offered here, the Institute has other courses that can be of benefit to both the laity and clergy in the Church. We have the following programmes currently: Certificate in Wesleyan Studies, and Certificate in Church Leadership, Evangelism and Church Planting and Christian Education.

ONE-YEAR COURSES

Certificate in Wesleyan Studies (CWS): This Course exposes the students to the detailed teachings of Samuel & Susanna Wesley; John Wesley, and Charles Wesley. Of particular importance are the teachings of Susanna Wesley on how she was able to support her husband in the ministry while bringing up their children in a godly way. Also, the teaching of John Wesley on scriptural holiness and global evangelism is just the tip of the iceberg in this Course. The duration of this short course is a full year of studies or two for part-time.

Certificate in Church Leadership (CCL): This Course exposes candidates to the rudiments of leading and growing a viable church. The core emphasis of the Course is on developing effective leadership skills that can directly impact church's survival in a trying time like this. A broad collection is made of current global leadership paradigms as applicable in the Christian church setting.

SHORT COURSES

Short Courses are also certificate courses, but with a shorter duration. The certificate offered is basically to indicate that holder has ample knowledge of the field of study. These Courses include:

 Evangelism and Church Planting. This course aims to help you gain more knowledge of the concept of Evangelism and Church Planting. It will also help you to know the strategies, importance, and hindrances to Church Planting and Evangelism. These strategies and methods are based on the Bible, especially the New Testament. This is a four-week course duration.

 Christian Education. The objective of this Course is to inculcate in the students the significance of daily walk and strong relationship with God; and develop in them the habit of intellectual curiosity, and ways of good relationships with fellow humans irrespective of gender. This is a four-week course duration.

More programmes are being developed and more resource persons are being contacted. We are also willing to work with different arms and levels of the Church to develop tailor-made courses for their needs. We are available to run some of our short courses within your ministry context.
